Stick With What You Know

Yelling at the Sun

If you could step outside yourself and tell me what you see
Why are we on red light avenue, and why are you alone with me?
You don't ever see it from the outside the way the others do
You've heard it said in times of peril you should always stick with what you know
But you won't know
What it is
When it comes around

When they knock on your door
They don't love your heart

You see the heart of all creation, one who knows yours better than yourself
The beauty that you need surrounds, you turn your back for something that they sell (to you, every day)
You don't ever see it from the outside the way the others do
You've heard it said in times of peril you should always stick with what you know
But you won't know
What it is
When it comes around

When they knock on your door
They don't love your heart
